Kia Motors India recently unveiled the most-anticipated Sonet SUV globally. It is likely to be launched during the festive season this year. It is the third product offering from Kia since the company made its debut in 2019 with Seltos. Kia has equipped the all-new Sonet with a plethora of features. Today we list here the top 10 first-in-segment features of Kia Sonet .
Kia Sonet gets the largest-in-segment 10.25-inch connected panel type HD touchscreen with infotainment & navigation system. This same touchscreen unit is available in Kia Seltos. Further, the infotainment system comes equipped with a plethora of features. These include USB, Bluetooth & AUX connectivity. It is also compatible with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.
Kia has designed the cabin of Sonet with an aim to provide utter comfort to the passengers. The driver and co-passenger seats are ventilated. The seats have perforation that can pass cold air through them. This will further keep the seat cool under hot conditions. You even get to make a choice from three fan speeds present there.
For entertainment perspective, Kia Sonet comes equipped with a Bose 7-speaker system with a subwoofer. Four speakers are placed up front and two at the rear along with the boot-mounted subwoofer Furthermore, this creates a concert-like sound ambiance inside the cabin of the SUV, thus enhancing your driving experience.
Apart from providing comfort, Kia also makes sure to provide its customers with a clean environment. Sonet is the first car in the sub-compact SUV segment to feature a PM 2.5 air purifier. This particular feature shields the passenger from the external elements. It also prevents the entry of the virus inside the cabin. This feature was first introduced in Seltos.
Kia Sonet offers the exclusive LED Sound Mood Lamps. These mood lamps have ambient lighting in the speaker grilles that works according to the beat of the music played in there. This first-in-segment feature lights up the cabin either in single or dynamic themes according to the kind of ambiance you prefer.
The 4.2-inch instrument cluster panel in the all-new Kia Sonet gives the car a sporty feel. The instrument cluster panel is available in different colour options. One can access a host of features on it such as High Line Tyre Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS), Multi Drive Modes, and Grip Control.
Kia Sonet comes loaded with Kia’s native suite of UVO connected technology with 57 features. These features include the seamless UVO - Voice Assist. It can also be used to remotely start both the automatic and manual Sonet. Furthermore, it gets a smartwatch integration with the UVO system to control the climate & air purifier.
Kia has equipped the Sonet with drive and traction modes. The sub-compact SUV gets three drive modes namely Eco, Normal, and Sport. Through drive modes, one can easily alter the engine and gearbox behavior. Further, the SUV also gets three traction modes namely mud, snow/wet, and sand. Now you can alter the ABS and traction control using the traction modes. The traction modes are only available with the automatic transmission. While we can expect the drive mode to be available for a both manual and automatic transmission.
Kia Sonet gets the most innovative feature- 6-speed IMT Technology. This feature makes the sub-compact SUV the perfect vehicle for today’s new-age user. The IMT gearbox is basically a revolutionary two-pedal system that eliminates the constant use of a clutch pedal which is mostly done in the case of a manual transmission. Due to this feature, the driver is able to control the speed well while driving.
Safety is synonymous with the all-new Kia Sonet. The safety kit comprises six airbags that offers a combination of front, side, and curtain protection for the passengers., ABS with EBD, front & rear parking sensors, projector fog lamps, auto headlamps, ISOFIX child anchor, ESC, HAC, VSM, and Brake assist.
