Having already established a wide network of customer touchpoints all across the country and created a record in the industry with the bookings for Seltos, the brand is all set to launch more vehicles in the Indian market. The next vehicle that the brand will bring to the Indian market may be the Carnival MPV which will take on the highly revered Toyota Innova Crysta in the Indian market. Now new reports have emerged on the internet stating that the brand may launch the Carnival MPV in the Indian market during the 2020 Auto Expo of India. The report further states that the upcoming Carnival MPV will be a facelifted model and not the model which is on sale right now.
Sun Wook Hwang, the senior GM of the PR and marketing department of Kia’s Indian division, had recently confirmed the launch of the MPV in Indian market. Apart from a lot of other models of their line-up the South Korean brand had also displayed the Grand Carnival at the Auto Expo last year. The research by the brand has led it to believe that their new MPV has a demand in India. Grand Carnival is already sold in the global market and when compared to the Japanese Toyota Innova Crysta, the Korean MPV is quite bigger in size. Grand Carnival MPV is 5.11 meters long, 1.98 meters wide, and 1.75 meters high. Although it may be brought to India with different dimensions and specs. Having launched the very first edition of the Carnival MPV in 2015, it is only natural that the brand will facelift the vehicle in 2020.
Toyota Innova has been a smash hit in India and has average monthly sales of nearly 7,000, and the South Korean brand has its task cut out in the Indian market. Carnival is sold in the global market in various configurations but India is expected to get the 7 seater version that will rival the Toyota Innova Crysta in the market.
