Kinetic Green is planning to sell 1 lakh units of the recently launched E-Luna electric moped in the upcoming fiscal year. The EV manufacturer is looking to surge its business with a turnover of INR 1,200 crore in the coming days. The automaker recently launched the E-Luna electric moped in the Indian market. The Kinetic E-Luna is available at an initial price of INR 69,990 (ex-showroom). The company’s new offering is manufactured and designed in India.
By unveiling a new made-in-India electric model, the auto giant is aiming to make electric mobility more accessible for its customers. Kinetic Green is hoping to encash the brand name, iconic Luna, to reach more customers. The automaker is aiming to sell one lakh units of the E-Luna Electric Moped by April 2025. The Pune-based electric vehicle maker expects sales of around INR 800 crore from the new Luna. Currently, the EV maker has a turnover of INR 350 crore. The targeted sales are likely to come from e-commerce platforms, as the new Luna could work as a convenient riding option for delivery agents. The company is aiming to sell 50,000 units of E-Luna to e-commerce platforms for this purpose.

The founder and CEO at Kinetic Green, Sulajja Firodia Motwani, said, “We are targeting to sell 1 lakh units of E-Luna next fiscal as we expect the company turnover to touch ₹1,200 crore next year. Our focus would however remain on the scooter vertical. We do not have any plans to get into the motorcycle segment."
The Union Minister of Road Transport and Highways, Nitin Gadkari, was also attending the same event where the new E-Luna was launched. The minister stated that "What catches my attention about the E-Luna is not merely the fact of it reducing carbon footprint, but along with Tier 1 cities, the E-Luna is also aimed at providing e-mobility for Tier 2, Tier 3 cities and rural areas of India. This is where the real Bharat is."
Bookings for the new version of Luna are open for a token amount of INR 500, while the company will start the delivery process in the coming days via Kinetic Green’s dealerships. The E-Luna electric moped will also be available on e-commerce platforms like Amazon and Flipkart. The manufacturer is also offering a host of accessories with the new Luna. The E-Luna electric comes in five color schemes: Ocean Blue, Sparkling Green, Mulberry Red, Pearl Yellow, and Night Star Black.
Powering the E-Luna is a 2-kWh lithium-ion battery pack that provides a certified range of 110 km on one charge. The electric offering comes in multiple trims that are equipped with 1.7 kWh, 2 kWh, and 3 kWh battery packs, giving the vehicle an enhanced range of 150 km on one charge. It also comes equipped with a 2.2 kW (2.9 bhp) BLDC hub motor that offers a top speed of 50 kmph.
The Kinetic Green E-Luna gets several updated features, including a side-stand sensor, a USB charging port, combi-braking, three riding modes, and a digital instrument console that has a real-time DTE (Distance to Empty) indicator. The E-Luna rolls on 16-inch wire-spoked wheels, and it gets telescopic forks up front.
