A rival to the RE Himalayan and the upcoming BMW GS G310 is likely to make a global debut at the 2017 EICMA

KTM, the brand known for its adventure and off-road bikes is all set to launch the 390 Adventure in India. Although there is no official word on the bike’s launch date, expect it to debut at this year’s EICMA show in November, with a launch as early as 2018.

It is likely to be powered by the same 373cc single-cylinder engine found on the RC and the Duke 390s. The frame for the bike could be a revised version of the new two-piece trellis frame that will be used in the upcoming Dukes. However, it is likely to use a sturdy box-frame swingarm, a different head-stock, wire-spoke wheels (in a 19"-17" configuration) a strong skid plate under the engine, a high-mounted exhaust and more suspension travel to handle off-road duties.

It will rival adventure tourers like the Royal Enfield Himalayan and the soon-to-be-launched BMW G310 GS in India.
