Recently, KTM announced the addition of ABS to its most selling motorcycle, Duke 200 in India. And now the Austrian brand has dropped another bomb by launching the Duke 125 ABS in India. The Duke 125 ABS is now the most affordable KTM in the country.
The Indian-spec Duke 125 gets the styling from the Duke 200, unlike the international spec which is inspired by the Duke 390. The bike is built around a trellis frame and shares much equipment with the Duke 200. The motorcycle is available in three colours – Orange, White and Black.
The suspension hardware of the motorcycle consists of inverted front forks and a 10-step adjustable monoshock at the rear. The tank capacity is 10.5-litres and anchorage to the bike is provided by a 300 mm front disc and 230 mm rear disc brake along with ABS. It has a ground clearance of 175 mm with a seat height of 818 mm and a kerb weight of 148 kg.
Powering the pocket rocket is a 124.7cc liquid cooled single cylinder engine which makes 14.3 BHP and 12 Nm of torque. It is mated to a 6-speed transmission but it misses out on slipper clutch. KTM has launched this bike at an introductory price of Rs. 1.18 lakhs (ex-showroom, Delhi).
