Lamborghini India has announced the launch of Huracan Evo RWD Spyder on June 8, 2021 in the country. Being globally unveiled last year, it will share most of the exterior elements, interior features and engine with its coupe sibling which is already on sale in India. Lamborghini Huracan Evo RWD Spyder price in India is expected to be around Rs 3.50 Crore (Ex. Showroom) while it will rival Audi R8 Spyder and Ferrari 488 Spyder. The coupe version, introduced last year in the Indian market, is priced at Rs 3.22 Crores (Ex. Showroom).
As for styling, the Huracan Evo RWD Spyder gets similar updates as the coupe sibling in order to distinguish itself from the AWD version. The Italian brand has equipped the open-top supercar with a newly designed front splitter, bespoke rear diffuser and a new rear bumper. However, the twin buttress design of the AWD model has been carried over and finds a place in the RWD version. The convertible version is nearly 120 kgs heavier than the coupe version. The roof can be folded down in just 17 seconds by pushing a button at speeds of upto 50kmph. It also gets an adjustable rear windscreen which can be raised and lowered down to let the exhaust sound kick in the cabin. The upholstery and features are similar to the coupe version.
Under the bonnet, Lamborghini Huracan Evo RWD Spyder will have a naturally aspirated 5.2L V10 petrol engine as the other Huracan models. The engine develops top power of 610 bhp and peak torque of 560 Nm. As compared to the AWD model, the power output has gone down by 30 bhp while the torque delivery has risen by 40Nm. The engine will be offered with a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission. Despite having the same power output as its coupe sibling, the Spyder is a bit slower in the 0-100kmph sprint. It touches the 100kmph mark from standstill in merely 3.5 seconds as compared to the coupe which does the same sprint in just 3.3 seconds. The top speed is pegged at 324kmph.
