Lexus Launches its NX300h in India

The SUV is powered by a 197hp, 2.5-litre petrol-hybrid powertrain and is sold in two variants.

Prices for the car are likely to start at ₹60 lakh (ex-showroom, India) for the entry-level Luxury trim and there’s also another top-spec F-Sport variant on sale.

On the inside, there’s lots of high-quality leather and soft-touch materials, electrically reclining rear seats, a 10.3-inch multimedia display, navigation as standard, and a heads-up display. The F-Sport trim is fitted with paddle shifters and unique styling.

The is only one engine option, a petrol-hybrid powertrain, shared with the ES300h sedan. The 2.5-litre petrol engine works with a rear-mounted electric motor to make 197hp. Power is sent via a CVT gearbox to all-four-wheels and Lexus claims an ARAI certified fuel efficiency of 18.32kpl. Both cars get eight airbags, ABS and a vehicle stability control programme.

Dealers have begun accepting bookings for an amount of ₹5 lakh, while deliveries will commence in March 2018. Toyota is currently monitoring the fluctuating Yen and waiting for it to settle before formally announcing India prices.
