Lexus India has launched the brand-new 2024 LM 350h luxury MPV in the Indian market. The auto giant has introduced this latest generation model in two iterations: a four-seater and a seven-seater. The new MPV is available at a starting price of INR 2.00 crore (ex-showroom). Bookings for this model started in the country last year. The luxurious MPV comes equipped with a comfortable cabin, which is the same as the aircraft’s business-class seat. The Lexus LM four-seater is priced at INR 2.5 crore (ex-showroom).
The LM stands for Luxury Mover, and it is said to be a rebadged Toyota Vellfire that is priced at INR 1.2 crore (ex-showroom). Both the Vellfire and Lexus LM are based on the GA-K modular platform. However, the new model appears to be more luxurious due to its futuristic styling.
In India, Toyota first launched the LM 350h in 2020, and this is the first significant update for this model. The Luxury Mover 350h comes with noticeable exterior updates, such as a brand-new front fascia that houses boomerang-shaped DRLs flanking a sleek radiator grille and slim LED headlamp clusters. The MPV appears menacing because of a 3-D element-created false grille impression. With a prominent shoulder line, a flat roofline, and a sizable greenhouse area, the side profile is still the same as that of its Toyota sibling.

Inside the cabin, the Luxury Mover 350h comes equipped with updated features such as a multi-position tip-up seat, a frequency-sensitive piston valve, an infrared ray sensor for climate control, and a long power seat slide rail. It also sports first-in-Lexus creature comforting components, including armrests and Ottoman heaters, rear climate concierge, a front/rear audio output system, a detachable remote panel with which all functions can be managed for rear-seat occupants, and a see-saw handle switch and power sliding door switch.
In terms of safety features, Lexus is also providing a range of updated features such as dynamic radar cruise control, lane tracing assist (LTA), lane departure alert with steering assist (LDA), automatic high beam (AHB), blind spot monitor (BSM), digital inside rear view mirror (E-Mirror), adaptive high beam system (AHS), and safe exit assist along with door opening control (SEA).
The Lexus LM 350h is powered by a 2.5-litre inline 4-cylinder hybrid engine that produces 246 bhp of output. The engine is equipped with a nickel-metal hydride battery that generates power from the ICE engine and delivers it to the dual-electric motor. A 134kW motor powers the front, while a 40kW motor powers the back, which kicks in under low-grip or acceleration situations.
