Japanese luxury carmaker, Lexus is working on an SUV which will be the flagship of the company. The manufacturer is planning to bring the SUV in 2021 and before the launch, it will be showcased at a major automotive expo in 2020. The company is yet to name the vehicle and it will take some cues from the LF-1 Limitless Concept.
The upcoming SUV will be built on the Toyota New Global Architecture (TGNA) platform and dimension-wise it will be 5000 mm in length, 1980 mm in width and 1590 mm in height. With these dimensions, Lexus’s vehicle will be slightly shorter, narrower and lower than the Lamborghini Urus.
The SUV is expected with two engine options - a 3.5-litre twin-turbo V6 which is rated to produce 424 BHP or a 4.0-litre twin-turbo V8 which is capable of churning out 661 BHP. There will also be a hybrid version, which will be powered by a combination of a V6 engine coupled with two electric motors. The vehicle if sees the light of the day, it will take on the Lamborghini Urus and Aston Martin DBX.
