With the official entry of Lotus in India, this marks an inevitably remarkable step as it is the entry of a British brand in the Indian market. And, with that being said, Lotus Eletre is now available for sale in India.

Astonishing British automaker has officially declared about its entry in the Indian market with the launch of Lotus Eletre electric performance SUV. The brand-new Lotus Eletre SUV is currently priced at INR 2.55 Crore and touches INR 2.99 Crore( ex-showroom). At this price range, the electric saloon is going to compete with Bentley Betayga, Lamborghini Urus, Maserati Levante, Mercedes-Maybach GLS, and many more. But, unlike its rival models, this model of Lotus is purely having an electric powertrain.

Lotus has joined hands with Delhi-based Exclusive Motors to retail and distribute its car across the country. Exclusive Motors is also the retailer for Bentley in India. And the British automaker will open up their own dealership in India from early 2024s in Delhi itself. And with that, other retail outlets will open in coming years. Other than Lotus, some other British automobile manufacturers like Aston Martin, McLaren, Rolls-Royce, Jaguar Land Rover, and Bentley heretofore have set up their presence in the country.

This newest Lotus Eletre is bolstered by the brand’s Electric Premium Architecture. The modular tailored platform is aspired to manufacture more car models with distinct body styles in the coming future.

With that being said, the Eletre equips two distinct powertrain options namely the standard and the Eletre S powered up by the dual-motor system that churns out a maximum power of 595 bhp and peak torque of 710 Nm. Along with this, the car gets 600 km of driving range on single charge. The top-spec Lotus Eletre R churns out a colossal horse power of 893 bhp and 985 Nm of peak torque using the dual electric motor with a two-speed transmission and a peak driving range of 490 kms on single charge. The Eletre S and Eletre can accelerate from 0 to 1000 kmph in merely 4.5 seconds, whereas the Eletre R can accelerate the same in an even minimum of 2.95 seconds. But, the maximum speed for the vehicle is restricted at 265 kmph.
