Mahindra recently started testing the BE Rall-E electric SUV, an off-road version of the BE.05 electric sports utility vehicle. The new Rall-E will be very similar to the BE.05 coupe SUV. It comes with a unique design language and excellent off-road capabilities. The new SUV gets circular headlamps that are embedded in a deep cavity. All Mahindra next-generation EV ranges come with updated features. The BE lineup has BE.07, BE.05, BE.09, and BE Rall-E. The XUV, on the other hand, incorporates XUV.e9 and XUV.e8. Mahindra is planning to launch the BE.05 in October 2025. The automaker is likely to unveil the BE Rall-E and Thar Electric in the upcoming months.

Buyers will have several options to select off-road-focused accessories, including a roof-mounted carrier. The Rall-E will be based on the company’s INGLO platform, which is also common across Mahindra’s forthcoming next-generation electric SUVs. The platform recently showcased a high speed of 200 km/h. In comparison to the BE.05, the new car could get higher ground clearance using bigger tires and a more powerful suspension setup.

Mahindra BE Rall-E will come equipped with a new bumper, which is specially designed for rugged terrain, including a tow hook and metallic skid plates at the front and back. The new SUV comes with a one-strip LED format for its DRLs, in turn replacing the C-shaped LED design. When it comes to defining its side profile, the car has distinct ORVMs, thicker cladding throughout, and off-road tires. It has a robust bumper and a DRL configuration.

Mahindra BE Rall-E is likely to be powered by a 60-80 kWh battery set. The EV is expected to come with both dual- and single-motor setups. A few modifications might be required throughout the entire powertrain, especially in the battery management system, which needs to be able to withstand the unexpected spike in power consumption that occurs during off-roading.
