Mahindra & Mahindra has silently introduced dual front airbags as standard safety feature in the Bolero SUV in the Indian market. This feature was supposed to come with the facelifted version of the SUV which is expected to launch at a later stage. Now, all the three variants of Mahindra Bolero - B4, B6 and B6 (O) - come with dual front airbags, Anti-lock Braking System (ABS), seat belt reminder and a co-driver occupant detection system and reverse parking sensors as standard safety features.
Mahindra Bolero comes with a plethora of premium features such as Driver Information System, Rear Washer & Wiper, 12V Charging Point, Keyless Entry, Power Windows Static Bending Headlamp, Music system with USB, AUX and Bluetooth Connectivity. The front-end flaunts a new X-shaped bumper along with fog lamps. The side profile is majorly dominated by new body decals while the rear end boasts of vertical clear-lens tail lamp cluster. The cabin comes in a premium dual-tone upholstery while the centre bezel gets a wood finish. It has been one of the oldest company models in the Indian market with an average monthly sales of 3000-5000 units. It has been the highest selling model for many years in the rural circuits.

Mechanically, Mahindra Bolero is powered by a BS6 compliant 1.5L mHawk75 diesel engine which generates maximum power output of 75 bhp at 3600 rpm and peak torque delivery of 210 Nm between 1600-2200 rpm. The engine is linked to a 5-speed manual transmission. The suspension duties are helmed by a FS Coil Spring at front while there is a Rigid Leaf Spring at the rear. Mahindra Bolero doesn't have a direct rival in the Indian market as it is the only vehicle at this price point to offer space for seven occupants. The company is readying a facelifted version of the SUV which is expected to go on sale in a few months and it will be equipped with several modern features.
