Mahindra & Mahindra, continuing its focus on electric mobility, has unveiled the eXUV300 at the 2020 Auto Expo. The all-electric version of the XUV300 is presented in a pre-production avatar and will be launched by mid 2021 in the Indian market. It has been learnt that Mahindra XUV300 electric will be available in two versions: standard and long range. It will directly take on the Tata Nexon EV which was launched a week back in the country.

It will get a 380 volt electric motor which will develop top power of 120bhp. On the other hand, the long range variant will have a driving range in excess of 350 kilometers which will ensure inter-city travels without worrying too much. It will boast of a bigger battery pack with top speed around 150kmph. The bigger battery package will comprise of Li-Ion cells based on NMC (nickel-manganese-cobalt) which will deliver power to the 380V electric motor.
Mahindra has not made any cosmetic updates to the eXUV300 and it appears identical to the regular variants, except for the new graphics and badges. The dimensions are also similar while the cabin comes packed with an array of connectivity features. There is a huge touchscreen infotainment system in the middle of centre console. The safety features include dual front airbags, ABS, and sealt-belt reminder system as standard.
