The company has launched the Mojo UT300 for Rs 1.49 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi). The UT loses out considerably in terms of equipment in comparison to the standard Mojo to bring prices down. There’s also an additional introductory benefit of Rs 10,000 that’s available till the end of March.
The UT300 uses the same 292cc single-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine with a carburettor instead of a fuel injector. The engine makes 22.7hp and 25.2Nm. The Mojo’s famous twin exhausts have made way for a single-sided setup and Mahindra has also switched from the Pirelli Diablo Rosso II to MRF tyres for this bike to lower prices.
There are no LED DRLs, which sit above the twin-pod headlights in the standard bike, and there are no gold-coloured accents. You get two single-tone colours - Volcano Red and Ocean Blue. Dealers in most parts of the country have been accepting booking since January 2018.
