India's leading automotive manufacturer, Mahindra & Mahindra, has announced that it has achieved significant sales results in May 2024. The brand sold 44,283 units last month, marking a significant sales growth of 31 percent. Mahindra’s domestic sales in May stood at 43,218 units, marking a 31 percent YoY growth, up from 32,886 retailed in May 2023, whereas the brand’s MoM sales increased by 5.39 percent over 41,008 units retailed in April last year. Mahindra sold 19,826 commercial vehicles domestically last month.
The company recently started the delivery process for its newly launched Mahindra XUV 3X0 compact SUV. The car has appealed to several buyers in India, and over 2500 units of the SUV have been shipped to customers till now. Mahindra offers the new car in nine variants, out of which the company has started delivering the AX5 L, AX5, MX3 Pro, and MX3 in India. The company will start delivering the MX2, MX1, MX2 Pro, MX2, AX7 L, and AX7 in June. In the Indian market, the Mahindra XUV 3X0 is priced between INR 10 lakh and INR 13.50 lakh (both prices ex-showroom).

Commenting on the recent development, the President (Automotive Division) at Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd., Veejay Nakra, said, “We sold a total of 43,218 SUVs in May, a growth of 31% and 71,682 total vehicles, a 17% growth over last year. As we opened bookings on 15th May, we were delighted to receive an overwhelming response for the XUV3XO. Within the first hour of opening bookings, we hit the 50000 mark. The belief that our customers have shown on us reiterate the strong disruptive proposition of XUV3XO. We have started deliveries from 26th May."
Mahindra recently launched the new AX5 Select variant of its famous XUV 700 SUV. The new trim can be bought at an ex-showroom price of INR 16.89 lakh (ex-showroom). The Mahindra XUV 700 AX5 Select variant is being offered in a seven-seat layout, and it comes equipped with a 10.24-inch infotainment screen, a skyroof, and a start/stop push button.
