Mahindra sells over 1 million units of the Bolero in India

The company first launched the car 18 years ago.

The company has sold over 1 million units of the Bolero. The car is Mahindra’s best-selling model, ever. The original Bolero (launched in 2000) was based on the Armada, and the car has been updated regularly. It’s also in the 'top 10 passenger vehicles by sales' list for most of its life span.

The car recorded a 23 percent year-on-year growth in the last fiscal. In the April-February period of the 2018 fiscal, the company sold 65,906 units.

Vijay Ram Nakra, Chief- Sales & Marketing - Mahindra said, “A strong comprehensive strategy for small cities and rural markets that the company put in place eight months back – complemented by the Bolero Plus – has helped the SUV regain lost volumes.”
