Mahindra & Mahindra will be increasing the price of its entire range of passenger and commercial vehicles. The price hike will be effective from January 1, 2021. The reason behind this price hike is the increase in commodity prices and various other input costs. Furthermore, the company is likely to reveal more details pertaining to the new pricing in the coming days.
Along with Mahindra, Maruti Suzuki India and Ford India are also likely to increase the prices of their vehicles from January 2021. Mahindra announced its vehicle sales performance for the month of November recently. The company reported a growth of 4 percent on the overall sales cumulative of passenger & commercial vehicles. The newly launched Mahindra Thar reported sales of 2569 units. Talking about XUV300, the sales number doubled to above 4000 units last month. While the evergreen Scorpio saw flat sales at 3725 units. In total, the company recorded a final sales figure of 42,731 vehicles in the month of November 2020 in comparison to 41,235 vehicles that were sold during the same period last year.
The launch of the All-New Thar has been the biggest contributor to the increase in sales number last month. The 2020 Mahindra Thar was launched in October this year. Apart from these, the company further aims to boost sales in the current calendar year. For the same, the brand is offering lucrative discounts and benefits across its entire product line-up. Also, additional discounts on accessories are on offer.
