Maruti Suzuki has silently updated the DZire VXI with a new audio system in the Indian market. The new dashboard infosystem has been borrowed from the Ertiga MPV, as clear by the images. Besides the addition of this new equipment, Maruti DZire VXi doesn't get any cosmetic or mechanical update. For those asking, the VXi is the mid-level trim in the DZire range which is positioned between the entry-level LXi and range-topping ZXi grades. The sedan is one of the best-selling vehicles in India with rivals such as Honda Amaze, Hyundai Aura and Ford Aspire.

Speaking of the new music system, it comes with multiple functions like Track Change, Volume Up/Down, Radio, Media, Setup, CH/FLG and DSP/ANT. All these functions can be operated through the plastic buttons which are placed in a phased manner. Though it offers the same features as the previous unit, it looks premium and better. Talking about the other features, it gets a manual AC, steering mounted audio controls, electrically adjusted ORVMs, power steering, power boot, adjustable steering and power windows. As for safety features, Maruti DZire VXi comes loaded with dual front airbags, ABS with EBD, seat belt warning, central locking, rear parking sensors and engine immobiliser.

Mechanically, Maruti DZire VXi is powered by a BS6 compliant naturally aspirated 1.2L K-Series petrol engine which develops a top power of 89bhp and peak torque of 113Nm. This engine can be availed with a 5-speed manual and 5-speed AMT gearbox while it delivers mileage of 23.26kmpl. The sedan is offered in a total of six single tone colors: Arctic White, Sherwood Brown, Oxford Blue, Phoenix Red, Magma Grey and premium silver. Maruti Dzire price in India starts at Rs 5.93 Lakhs while going as high as Rs 8.89 Lakhs (Both are Ex. Showroom) for the top-end ZXI variant. Maruti Suzuki has not increased the price of DZire VXi despite the inclusion of a new audio system.
