Maruti Suzuki has come in partnership with National Cadet Corps(NCC) for a 21-day rally covering over 3500 kms across the North-eastern region of the country. This NCC Rally will observe 18 officers along with 76 cadets from the NCC driving 7 Maruti Jimnys and 5 Maruti Grand Vitara SUVs. The rally embarked on its expedition from Shillong today and will conclude with a momentous celebration on 26th November in Guwahati.
The ceremony was flagged-off by none other than the respected Chief Minister of Meghalaya, along with the DG of NCC, senior management from Maruti Suzuki, and the Director General Assam Rifles from GOC 101 Area.

The association's main goals are to encourage youth to join NCC and to promote cross-regional cultural exchange. In addition, NCC celebrates 75 years. Major General Gagan Deep, ADG, NER DTE, NCC, stated, "This car rally aims to foster camaraderie, leadership, sportsmanship, adventure, and imbibing the spirit of patriotism among the youth, inspiring them to uphold the values that the National Cadet Corps stands for."
Many Northeastern states, including Tripura, Assam, Mizoram, Meghalaya, Nagaland, and Arunachal Pradesh, will be affected by the rally. In addition to attending various cultural events, the convoy will make stops along the way to engage with students from 277 schools and 151 colleges spread across 44 districts.
Along the way, the NCC cadets will also interact directly with young people in the community, educating them about the value of cross-cultural exchange and highlighting the wealth of social heritage.
