Maruti Ignis is one of the most popular and hot-selling hatchbacks in India. Currently sold through the Nexa dealerships in India, the Ignis is an affordable choice for several Indians. Maruti Ignis facelift was unveiled at the Auto Expo 2020 and launched in February earlier this year. Now, dealers are offering accessories kits for the hatchback. The kit completely changes the car’s look making it stand out in the road. The authorized Nexa showrooms in Delhi-NCR region are offering the Ignis kit known by the name X10. The kit Introductory price starts at Rs 29,900 and comes loaded with 11 features.
Our friends at GaadiWaadi reveal that the price rises to Rs 35,321 if you purchase the accessories and parts separately. The X10 kit is currently available for the Maruti Ignis Sigma variant. It is the base variant and comes with very basic features. With the X10 kit, the Sigma model owners can now upgrade the features. As of now, the kit is available in the NCR region and at selected dealerships only. With the festive season around the corner, the dealerships are retailing the kits to drive the car sales. The COVID-19 led to a decline in the car sales forcing the dealers to find new avenues for driving car sales.
The touchscreen infotainment system price is Rs 10,490, which is the most expensive unit in the kits. The Sigma variant might not possess the features of top-end trim but it does come with plenty of standard offerings. The key features found in the Ignis facelift are climate control system, front power windows, body-coloured outside rear view mirror (ORVM), steel rims and power steering. The BS6 compliant Ignis facelift comes packed with safety features like Anti-locking Braking System (ABS) with Electronic Brakeforce Distribution (EBD), dual-front airbags and ISOFIX child seat anchorages.
Maruti Ignis facelift comes with the 1.2L 4-cylinder K12B petrol engine. The engine belts out 83bhp and 113Nm. Transmission duties are taken care of by the 5-speed automatic and manual gearboxes. Currently, the Indian automaker isn’t offering a diesel engine with the Ignis facelift.
