Maruti Suzuki India Records Highest-Ever Export Numbers in 2021

Maruti Suzuki exported 2,05,450 vehicles in the calendar year 2021

Maruti Suzuki India Limited has achieved a new milestone. The automaker has exported a whopping 205,450 vehicles in the Calendar Year 2021. Having said that, this is the highest ever export number recorded by the company in any calendar year. 

The company has been committed towards the ‘Make-in-India’ initiative that has been announced by the Indian government. It has been exporting Made-in-India vehicles since 1986-87. It sent its first large consignment to Hungary. Since then Maruti has exported to over 100 countries globally. In the last 35 years of operations, the automaker has exported over 21.85 lakhs vehicles out of the country. The main target markets include Latin America, Middle East, Africa, and ASEAN countries.

Talking about Maruti’s top five export models of last year, they are Baleno, Dzire, Swift, Spresso, and Vitara Brezza. Besides these, the carmaker has exported a total of 15 models from India including the most recent Jimny and the all-new Celerio.
