Maruti Suzuki today announced that its mini SUV S-presso has just turned 1 today. Launched on the 2nd of October 2019, the rather muscular looking vehicle has won itself more than 75,000 happy customers. A 'Make in India' product, the Maruti S-Presso aims to offer an SUV type of a look on the outside while the cabin is meant to be spacious thus attracting many towards it. This is further demonstrated from the fact that over the past year, the Mini-SUV has won itself many accolades and in fact has been able to occupy a 9 percent market share according to the manufacturer in the A-2 segment.
“Within a short span of a year, Maruti Suzuki S- PRESSO has carved a strong niche for itself with many segment first features like dynamic center console with SmartPlay infotainment system, steering mounted audio and voice control etc. In line with the aspirations of young India, S- PRESSO is exclusively designed to offer a mini SUV feel with the best of technologies and features. He further explains that with the launch of S-Presso and its customisation options, buyers are slowly and steadily moving towards accessorizing their vehicles. This is evident from the fact that the company has seen a 24 percent increase in such requests.
Mechanically, Maruti S-Presso is powered by a K10 B 998cc petrol engine. This engine delivers a power output of 67 bhp with 90 Nm torque. Transmission duties are handled by a 5-speed manual gearbox and an AMT. Meanwhile if we are to talk about its CNG version, then the powertrain produces 58 bhp power and 78 Nm torque.
