Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza successfully clocks 6 lakh sales within 5 years of its launch

Maruti Suzuki has announced that Vitara Brezza has once again achieved a new milestone. The automaker has sold 6 lakh units of the subcompact SUV in the country since its launch in 2016. Furthermore, it has continued to remain on the top-selling SUVs list in the country due to its stronger stance, bold look, premium interiors, and a powerful engine.

Design-wise, the Vitara Brezza gets a strong, urban, and premium appeal. Upfront, it features LED headlamps with LED DRLs. Other design bits include LED fog lamps, LED tail-lamps, among many others. Moving into the cabin, the SUV features Smartplay studio with a 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system integrated with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. It also offers a host of safety equipment such as auto-retracting ORVM, gear shift indicator, auto-dimming, and antiglare IRVM.

Launched in 2016, Vitara Brezza has consistently received appreciation from its customers and critics owing to its all-in-one package of power, refinement, convenience, comfort and premium-ness. Vitara Brezza is valued for its strong SUV stance and sporty character which gives the urban SUV a butch and bold look, making it extremely popular amongst SUV customers. We have also introduced the 1.5L 4 cylinder petrol engine in the all-new Vitara Brezza early last year, making it the most refined SUV in its segment. It is a delight to announce that India’s best-selling compact SUV has further strengthened its position as the market leader with sales of 6 Lakh units. This is a testimony of our customers’ elevated support and love for the brand, especially in a segment that is traditionally diesel-driven,” commented Shashank Srivastava, Executive Director (Marketing & Sales), Maruti Suzuki India Limited on this new achievement.

Under the hood, the Vitara Brezza houses a powerful 1.5-litre K-series petrol engine that churns out a maximum power of 100 bhp and a peak torque of 138 Nm. The transmission option includes a 5-speed manual or a 4-speed automatic gearbox. Besides these, the engine delivers an ARAI certified fuel efficiency of 18.76 kmpl for automatic and 17.03kmpl for the manual.
