The Swift will be on sale with 12 variants, powered by the same 1.2-litre K12 petrol and 1.3-litre DDiS diesel engine as the previous Swift.
Each engine type has six variants – LXi/LDi, VXi/VDi, ZXi/ZDi and ZXi+/ZDi+ with a five-speed manual, the AMT gearbox is available only on the VXi/VDi and ZXi/ZDi trims.
The New Swift is built on the company’s Heartect platform, so it’s lighter and offers more room. It even has a bigger boot. On the inside, you also get a SmartPlay infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto compatibility. On offer, depending on the trim, are projector headlamps with LED DRLs, two-tone alloy wheels, voice recognition, Bluetooth audio streaming, in-built navigation and a reverse camera. As far as safety is concerned, there are two airbags and ABS, which are standard fitment.
There are six colours on sale - orange, blue, red, white, silver and grey. Dealers are taking bookings for a fee of ₹11,000.
