The 'wireless charger' feature is offered as an optional accessory.

In order to keep the hopes alive for the Vitara Brezza facelift, Maruti has gone ahead and updated an element in its feature list. The sub-compact SUV that competes against the likes of Hyundai Venue, Ford EcoSport, Mahindra XUV300 and Tata Nexon required an extra bit of push. To do precisely that, the home-grown automaker has added a 'Wireless Charger' as an optional accessory at the cost of Rs 3590 to the features list.

With this update, Maruti Vitara Brezza facelift becomes the first car in the company's product portfolio to receive this feature. Unlike a conventional charger that offers a cable and requires a USB port, the Wireless Charger provides a charging dock on which you place the phone and it automatically starts to charge. This is a very convenient feature that competition like the Venue is offering in their SX and SX (O) trims as standard fitment.

The Vitara Brezza was given a makeover this year. Moreover, the SUV was unveiled with much fanfare at the Auto Expo 2020. It received exterior and interior updates but the biggest change was the switch from diesel to petrol. Currently priced in the range of Rs 7.34 lakhs to Rs 11.40 Lakhs (ex-showroom) Delhi, the SUV is powered by a 1.5L K15B petrol engine under the hood. This engine is good for delivering a maximum power output of 105 bhp with 138 Nm of peak torque. While the transmission duties are carried out by a 5-speed manual gearbox alongside a 4-speed automatic unit. Speaking about the mileage, then the manual version returns a figure of 17.03 kmpl whereas the automatic that also gets a SHVS mild hybrid system delivers an efficiency of 18.76 kmpl (Both are mileage figures are ARAI Certified). Besides this, in the coming months, Maruti S-Cross and Swift hatchback are expected to be launched with major updates.
