Mercedes-Maybach 6 Convertible Concept to be Shown at Concours d’Elegance

The drop-top variant of the Maybach 6 concept will preview a future Dawn rival.

At last year’s show, the company released the Vision Maybach 6 concept and this year, it plans to reveal the concept’s drop-top version.

Mercedes intends to take on the Rolls-Royce Wraith and its convertible variant, the Dawn with these cars. Mercedes design boss, Gorden Wagener, posted an image showing sketches on his Instagram, stating that something 'surprising' is due this summer.

Production versions of the Maybach 6 models may be assembled by a new bespoke coachbuilding operation. This will allow customers greater freedom when it comes to customising their cars.

The Vision Mercedes-Maybach 6 concept came with four-wheel-drive 2+2 EV and put out a whopping 748hp. It also sported gull-wing doors.

The Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance commences on August 17, 2017.
