The Legendary British supercar manufacturer, McLaren Automotive has officially announced its arrival in the Indian market anytime soon. Although McLaren had its presence in India via a few imports. But now it will be officially present with a dealer partner, Infinite Group. Also, the official configurator on the McLaren website has started showing India as a region. Now Indian customers can easily look out for specifications as per their requirements from the comfort of their home. Once they submit their respective choice, a dealer will accordingly order the supercar from the McLaren Production Centre in Woking, UK. Let us find out the range of McLaren’s that will be introduced in the Indian market.
McLaren GT
McLaren GT will be the entry-level model in India. It is basically focused on customers who prefer a softer and more comfortable supercar instead of performance-oriented cars in McLaren’s range. Performance-wise, the GT will be powered by a 4.0-litre, twin-turbo engine that churns out 620 bhp power and 630 Nm peak torque. Furthermore, the car can achieve 0-100 kmph in just 3.2 seconds with a top speed of 326kmph. It will rival the likes of Bentley Continental GT, Porsche 911, and Ferrari Roma.
McLaren 720S
McLaren 720S will be sold in both coupe and spider form in the Indian market. Mechanically, it gets a 4-litre twin-turbo engine that generates a maximum power of 720 bhp and a peak torque of 770 Nm. Both the forms of the 720S come with a top speed of 341 kmph. It can further achieve 0-100 kmph in just 2.9 seconds. The 720S spider’ convertible roof can be folded up or down in just 11 seconds. Talking about the rivals, it will compete with the likes of Lamborghini Huracan and the Ferrari F8 Tributo.
McLaren Artura
McLaren Artura is the recently launched hybrid supercar in McLaren’s line-up. It is based on the new MCLA carbon fibre monocoque platform. While the GT and 720S are based on the Carbon fibre Monocage II-S platform. Under the hood, the Artura is powered by a 3.0-litre twin-turbo V6 engine that generates 680 bhp power and 720 Nm peak torque. Furthermore, it comes with a top speed of 330kmph and can achieve 0-100 kmph in just 3 seconds. The Artura also comes with an electric-only mode with a range of 30 kmph and a top speed of 130 kmph.
