Priced at Rs. 4 crore (ex-showroom), Mercedes-Benz India has introduced the AMG G 63 Grand Edition in India. Deliveries are expected to start in Q1 2024, and the luxury SUV will only be produced in a total of 1,000 vehicles globally, 25 of which will be reserved solely for current Maybach, AMG, and S-Class customers.
The special edition SUV has unique Manufaktur exterior paint with Kalahari Gold Magno inserts on the spare wheel ring, underride shielding, and inlays in the front and rear bumpers as its aesthetic highlights. It is mounted on 22-inch AMG wrought alloy wheels with a Mercedes star and a tech gold paint finish on the central locking nut.
The interior of the AMG G 63 Grand Edition is decked out in a black and gold theme, with an illuminated AMG logo on the door trims, an AMG performance steering wheel, black Nappa leather seats with contrasting gold stitching, and matching black floor mats. The grab handle trim is finished in carbon with copper threads and a "Grand Edition" badge.
Under the hood, the AMG G 63 Grand Edition features a 4.0-liter V8 gasoline engine that produces 578 horsepower and 850 Newton-meters of torque. This allows the SUV to accelerate from zero to 100 kilometers per hour in just 4.5 seconds and reach a top speed of 220 kilometers per hour. Power is sent to all four wheels through the brand's 4MATIC system.
