Mercedes-Benz recently disclosed that two additional products will be launched in India in the upcoming weeks. The two vehicles in question are the redesigned Mercedes-Benz GLE SUV and the brand-new Mercedes-AMG C 43 sedan, which will both be introduced on November 2. Given how well its predecessor performed in our market, the C 43 is a crucial addition to the Mercedes lineup, while the GLE continues to be one of the company's best-selling vehicles in India.
In February 2023, Mercedes-Benz first revealed the GLE facelift. Electrified powertrains and advanced technology on board made significant changes while both interior and exterior changes were relatively minor.
The new steering with touch-sensitive controls and new trim finishes, which were previously only available on Mercedes' Maybach line-up, are the only changes to the dashboard. The twin 12.3-inch screens for the infotainment and instrument cluster have been kept, but the GLE facelifts now have the second-generation MBUX software.

The whole GLE lineup has electric power overall, and each powertrain is fitted with a mild hybrid 48-volt system. The GLE 400e plug-in hybrid, which is new to the global lineup, combines a 2.0-liter turbo-petrol engine with an electric motor and 31.2 kWh battery pack. However, it is unclear whether this model of the SUV will be released in the United States.
The new AMG C 43 sedan, which is based on the W206 C-Class, features a 2.0-litre, four-cylinder engine with an electric turbocharger, known as the M139. The previous 3.0 liter V6 engine is replaced by this hybrid system, which produces about 400 horsepower and 500 newtons of torque. It also has a 48-volt mild hybrid system that has a boost function that can add more power. This new engine is mated to a nine-speed automatic transmission with "Race Start," which uses the 4Matic drive system to distribute power to all four wheels.
The GLE facelift is anticipated to cost over INR 1 crore, while the C 43 is anticipated to cost just under INR 90 lakh (all prices, ex-showroom).
