Mercedes-Benz GLE 300d 4Matic AMG Line Launched in India; Priced at INR 97.85 Lakh

The latest Mercedes-Benz GLE 300d has replaced the Professional Line trim in the brand’s lineup.

The luxury car manufacturer Mercedes-Benz has rolled out the new GLE 300d 4Matic AMG Line SUV in India. Mercedes is offering the new AMG Line trim at an ex-showroom price of INR 97.85 lakh (ex-showroom). The latest Mercedes-Benz GLE 300d has replaced the Professional Line trim in the brand’s lineup. Mercedes-Benz has already unveiled the AMG Line editions for the GLE 450 and GLE 450d variants. Now, to complete the GLE lineup, Mercedes has introduced the latest AMG Line model on the 300d luxury SUV.

The Mercedes-Benz GLE 300d AMG Line price is slightly lower than the outgoing GLE models, which makes it the third and most budget-friendly AMG Line trim in India after the GLE 450 and GLE 450d. However, the Mercedes-Benz GLE 300d AMG Line price is INR 1.20 lakh more expensive than the outgoing 350d. The company is offering the new GLE car with new cosmetics and hardware updates. The SUV comes equipped with a new diamond grille, which is finished in chrome. The Mercedes GLE 300d on road price in Delhi is INR 1.14 crore (ex-showroom) for the LWB version.

Mercedes is offering the GLE 300d 4Matic AMG Line with a range of advanced amenities, including a 12.3-inch touchscreen infotainment display, memory function for front seats, electrically adjustable seats, a heads-up display, 4-zone climate control, a 590-watt 13-speaker Burmester sound system, and a 360-degree camera. For safety, the GE 300d AMG Line houses nine airbags, park assist, traction control, and advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS) like autonomous emergency braking and blind spot monitoring.

The GLE 300d AMG Line SUV features a larger AMG front apron, an AMG rear apron, perforated disc brakes up front, and a chrome strip that runs across the centre of the grille. The GLE 300d 4Matic AMG Line rolls on 20-inch alloy wheels colored in tremolite grey. At the rear bumper, the new SUV features a diffuser element followed by twin exhaust tips. On the other hand, at the front bumper, it has sportier air inlets, color-coded rear and front side skirts, and gloss black ORVMs.

Under the hood, the new GLE 300d draws power from a 2.0-litre four-cylinder diesel engine that churns out power of 265 bhp and peak torque of 550 Nm. The engine is mated to a 9-speed Steptronic automatic transmission with a 48V mild-hybrid setup. The GLE 300d luxury SUV can accelerate from 0 to 100 kmph in just 6.9 seconds. It has a top speed of 230 kmph. In its segment, the new car of Mercedes-Benz rivals the likes of the BMW X5, Lexus RX, Audi Q7, and Volvo XC90.
