The Volocity 1.3 scale makes an appearance at Auto Expo 2020.

Mercedes Benz thrilled their guests by presenting their flying car concept-Volocopter at the Auto Expo 2020. Volocity 1.3 scale was displayed in Hall number 15 at the Greater Noida Expo Mart.

Build on drone technology, these aircraft carry a minimum of two people. With an aim to offer affordable on-demand air taxi service and save time by flying people to their destination, Volocopter envisions its aircraft to operate over short distances only. It comes with a 2X prototype along with 18 rotors that feature a flight time of 30 minutes. With an aim to open a completely new dimension to urban mobility, Volocopter covers a maximum range of 27 km.

Currently, it has just unveiled the concept. The company is striving to get a commercial certification from the European Aviation Safety Authority. There are expectations that it might open its first commercial route within the next two-four years.
