Mercedes-Benz has launched a luxury estate vehicle called E-Class All-Terrain. This vehicle was first showcased at the 2018 Auto Expo. The station wagon is based on the E-Class sedan and shares many cues with it. However, it's not a long wheelbase variant like the sedan version.
The front grille and LED headlights are shared from the E-Class. The black cladding all around the body along with large 19-inch wheels gives the vehicle a very robust look. The interior of the car is very much similar to the E-Class sedan but rear space is limited since it is not a long wheelbase E-Class.
Very premium quality materials have been used inside the cabin. The rear seat of the car folds down in 40:20:40 manner to offer a boot storage of 1820-litres.
Powering the E-Class All-Terrain is a 2.0-litre, four-cylinder diesel engine that is mated to a 9-speed automatic transmission which produces 192 BHP and 400 Nm of torque. This engine is BS-VI compliant even on BS-IV fuel. The top speed of the car is 231 km/hr. This car will take on the Volvo V90 Cross Country in the Indian market.
It is available in one fully-loaded variant with a 4.5-litre twin-turbo V8 diesel engine under the hood.
