Night Edition models are limited to 100 units each; don’t feature mechanical changes.

Mercedes-Benz has introduced limited-run Night Editions of its A-class and the B-class hatchbacks. The carmaker says that production for both the models is limited to 100 units with prices for the A-class ranging from Rs 27.31 – 28.32 lakh; the Night Edition B-Class costs ₹29.34 – ₹30.35 lakh (ex-showroom, Pune).

The models distinguish themselves from their regular counterparts with Night Edition badging, blacked out trim bits along with contrast colour wing mirror covers and new 17-inch alloy wheels.

Both cars also get a bigger eight-inch screen for their Command infotainment system which is loaded with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Also new are the sports seats which are finished in part Artico leather and part fabric.

There are no mechanical changes on the special edition models and they continue to offer the same 122hp 1.6-litre petrol and 136hp 2.1-litre diesel engines and seven-speed automatics as the standard cars.

The Mercedes A-class is a rival to the likes of the BMW 1-series and Volvo V40 hatchbacks, while, the larger B-class has no direct rivals.
