The car will come with four engine options and two gearboxes.

Mercedes’ X-Class is a five-seater, four-door crew cab pickup with a separate chassis, four engines, and the option of either four-wheel drive and a six-speed manual or a seven-speed automatic.

The rugged, off-road-capable pickup, is designed to be a vehicle for urban families as well - the pick-up offers the refinement and convenience of a conventional car. The X-class will be targeted at markets like Argentina, South Africa, Australia, Brazil and New Zealand.

The X-class is powered by a range of engines. There’s a 163hp, diesel X220d and a 190hp, X250d as well as a 165hp petrol engine in some markets. The company will include a 258hp, 550Nm V6 diesel in mid-2018. The X220d and X250d 4Matic will come with selectable four-wheel drive, while the six-cylinder car will feature permanent four-wheel drive. All versions of the pick-up feature low-range gearing, while a locking rear axle differential is optional.

For now though, there is no News of Mercedes bringing the X-class pickup to India anytime soon.
