The ‘Connoiseur’s Edition’ is priced from ₹1.21 crore.

Mercedes has added a new S-Class ‘Connoisseur’s Edition’ to its line-up. The car is a more luxurious version compared to the other cars in the range. Designed with luxury and comfort in mind, the model will be at a price of ₹1.21 crore for the S350d and ₹1.32 crore for the S400.

It is loaded with features that include an air-balance perfume package with air ionisation, night view assist plus for enhanced driving safety at night, a three-stage memory function with the fully adjustable front electric seats and an executive rear seat behind the front passenger, that reclines up to 43.5 degrees. The night view assist highlights pedestrians and larger animals in the dark for added safety and to avoid accidents. This system illuminates the road ahead with two anti-dazzle infrared lamps and highlights the objects on the road in the cockpit display as a greyscale image. The spotlight function enables endangered pedestrians to be flashed at several times so that the driver registers them even more quickly and the pedestrians recognise the danger.

The 350d comes with a 255hp, 2,987cc, six-cylinder diesel engine and the S400 is powered by a 329hp, 2,996cc, six-cylinder petrol engine. At its launch, Roland Folger, managing director and CEO, Mercedes-Benz India, said, “The S-Class ‘Connoisseur’s Edition’ will be locally manufactured in our world-class production facility in Chakan, Pune. This is yet another firm affirmation of our vision of ‘Make in India’, and our unwavering commitment to the Indian customer in presenting the best of our global offerings.”
