The Baojun Yep sub-compact electric SUV was spotted testing recently; it is scheduled to launch this year in the international market. This electric SUV will get a five-door version in a few markets. The SUV is likely to be badged as the Yep Plus, and it will first arrive in China in the first half of 2024.
Interestingly, the Yep SUV has the same underpinnings as the MG Comet EV available in the Indian market. The automaker is expected to launch this EV in India sometime later.
The brand-new Baojun Yep Plus is going to be an elongated variant of the Yep SUV, which was unveiled in China in 2023. The spy shots circulated on social media showcase that the electric SUV will get a longer wheelbase and an additional set of doors. The outgoing Yep SUV measures around 3.4 metres in length, whereas the Plus version will measure under four metres. The Yep Plus gets a boxy profile with a new taillight design and a revamped bumper.

It comes with a peak speed of 100 kmph.
The Baojun Yep is likely to be launched in the Indian market in 2025. This model is anticipated to be codenamed E260.
