MG Hector Plus vs Toyota Innova Crysta: Engine Specifications

MG Hector Plus comes with three powertrain options. First is a 2.0-litre diesel engine that produces 170bhp of maximum power and comes mated to a 6-speed manual gearbox. Second is a BS6 compliant 1.5-litre turbocharged petrol engine delivering 141bhp of maximum power output. Here the engine is paired to a 6-speed manual and 6-speed DCT automatic transmission. While there is also a 1.5 litre petrol being offered with 48V mild-hybrid system with the same power output as the normal petrol variant and a 6-speed manual gearbox. The Toyota Innova Crysta in this case stands to provide two engine options - a 2.7-litre petrol and 2.4-litre diesel. The petrol engine delivers 163.72 bhp of maximum power output with 245 Nm of peak torque. As for the diesel engine, it churns out 147.94 bhp and 343 Nm of torque. The transmission options include 5-speed manual gearbox and 6-speed automatic stick.

When we compare both these MPV's in dimentions, the MG Hector Plus measures 4,695mm in length, 1,835mm in width and 1,760 mm in height. It is the Innova Crysta that is longer than Hector Plus as it measures 4,735mm in length. While the Innova Crysta's width is almost the same at 1,830mm and its height stands at 1,795mm.
