MG Hector India was spotted testing one of its future SUVs named Maxus D90-based which would most probably be launched by the end of the year 2020.

Maxus is an automobile brand which is owned by SAIC who also owns Morris Garage. The Maxus D90 is a large SUV that has three rows of seating.

The SUV is pretty big as it measures 5,005mm in length, 1,932mm in width, 1,875mm in height, and has wheelbase of 2,950mm. The Maxus D90 would sit above the Hector 7 – seater SUV in MG India’s lineup. There are reports of D90 being benchmarked against recently launched Mahindra Alturas G4. The car aims to rival cars like Toyota Fortuner and Ford Endeavour.

The D90 will be powered by the 2.0-liter petrol engine that pumps out 224bhp of power and 360Nm torque. Internationally, the Maxus D90 is offered with both the 6-speed manual and a 6-speed automatic gearbox. Also, the Indian variant will also get a 4-wheel drive with 7 driving modes that include -Automatic, Economy, Motion, Snow, Sandy, Mud and Rock.

India would be probably become the first car market for this SUV  to be sold as a diesel variant.

The D90 would be a feature-loaded SUV that would have a 12.3-inch touchscreen infotainment system and an 8.0-inch digital instrument cluster, three-zone climate control, cooled/heated seats, a panoramic sunroof, a 360-degree camera and more on offer.

When launched in India, MG Hector is expected to get a price tag of ex-showroom Rs. 30 Lacs.
