The all-new MPV will rival the likes of the Ertiga and the Mobilio abroad.

Mitsubishi’s Expander MPV is likely to be unveiled at the Indonesia Auto Show in Jakarta next month and the carmaker has released teaser images ahead of the event.

Based on the image, there’s a wide multiple-slat grille with sharp-looking daytime LED lamps - the actual headlamps are located below with the front bumper. Like the latest Pajero Sport SUV, this MPV uses the company’s Dynamic Shield design language. The carmaker previewed this car in concept form as the XM concept.  The production version will feature a three-row layout in either a seven or an eight-seat configuration.

Under the hood is a single engine, a 1.5-litre petrol motor. So far, there is no news of this car coming here, but Mitsubishi is readying its Outlander SUV for launch in India in the coming months.
