Indian car buyers are very fascinated with fancy registration plates. So much so, that they are ready to shell out big amount for a unique number and in some cases the registration number is more expensive than the vehicle itself. Balagopal won the bid at Rs. 30 lakhs and spent Rs. 1 lakh on the application. The most expensive car number of India has been put on the Porsche 718 Boxster.
Balagopal also has other luxury cars with fancy numbers. In 2017, he had spent Rs. 19 lakhs for his Land Cruiser's registration number KL 01 CB 1. The Porsche 718 Boxster is available in the Indian market for Rs. 1.05 crores (ex-showroom). Balagopal has bought a unique Miami Blue colour of the 718 Boxster.
