Neeraj Chopra Receives his Mahindra XUV700 Javelin Gold Edition

The Mahindra XUV700 petrol variant deliveries commenced on October 30, 2021

Mahindra & Mahindra commenced the delivery of the petrol variants of XUV700 on October 30. Paralympian Neeraj Chopra who won the gold medal for men’s javelin throw at the 2020 Tokyo olympics took home his  Mahindra XUV700 Javelin Gold edition. Furthermore, Neeraj Chopra took to his social media where he revealed his newly delivered XUV700 Gold Edition.

Talking about the XUV700 Javelin Gold Edition, it comes in Midnight Black color. In addition, it gets gold inserts instead of chrome on the exterior. The new Mahindra logo comes with satin gold plating. The SUV has been customised as per the Paralympian. Having said this, Chopra’s record breaking javelin throw of 87.58 metres has been etched on the side of the bonnet along with a gold javelin thrower. Moving inside the cabin of the SUV, it gets gold accents on the seats and IP panel. Besides this, the SUV also gets a special badge embroidered on all the six headrests and the dashboard. The whole customization of this special edition model has been done by Pratap Bose, EVP and Chief Design Officer, Mahindra & Mahindra.

Performance-wise, the XUV700 comes with two engine options - 2.0L mStallion turbo petrol and 2.2L mHawk diesel. The former churns out a top power of 197 bhp and a peak torque of 380 Nm. While the latter dishes out 182 bhp power. Talking about the torque, the engine delivers 420 Nm with manual and 450 Nm with automatic gearbox. Both engines can be availed of with either a 6-speed manual or a 6-speed automatic gearbox.
