Audi India is expanding its portfolio of models with the launch of New RS 7 Sportback tomorrow. The German automaker opened bookings for the All-New Audi RS 7 Sportback last month. The second-generation Audi RS 7 Sportback is expected to deliver better performance and comfort. The luxury Sportback can be pre-booked on either Audi's official website or through an authorized dealer for a token amount of Rs 10 lakhs. Ahead of its scheduled launch, the automaker released a teaser video of the New Audi RS 7 Sportback doing a 0-100 kmph sprint in just 3.6 seconds. It is expected that the deliveries for this model will commence from August this year.
2020 New Audi RS 7's design is inspired in some respects by the Audi A7 sedan especially in the context of the sprawling silhouette. Notable design highlights are LED taillight clusters, massive air dams, huge black honeycomb grille and 21-inch alloy wheels. Its rear profile sports a diffuser surrounding two oval-shaped exhausts. Audi has taken the interior to a whole new level altogether with the cabin coming draped in Alcantara leather. It boasts of features like a dashboard with a dual touchscreen infotainment display, Audi Virtual Cockpit, four-zone climate control and heated RS seats. One interesting inclusion is that of flat-bottomed RS leather-covered multifunction sports steering wheel. Audi RS 7 will offer customisation and personalisation options for the Indian buyers.
If we talk about the performance, Audi RS 7 Sportback will be powered by a 4.0-litre V8 Twin-Turbo petrol engine. The Sportback will deliver a massive 600 bhp of maximum power and 800 Nm of peak torque. The engine is paired to an 8-speed torque converter gearbox. It will come equipped with Audi's Quattro all-wheel-drive (AWD) system. 2020 RS7 is a massive upgrade on the older generation that delivered a performance of 560 bhp and 700 Nm of peak torque. Audi has electrically limited the speed of sedan to 250 Kmph.
The RS 7 Sportback will be sold in the Indian market through the CBU (Custom Built Unit) route. Audi RS 7 price is expected to be priced somewhere around Rs 1.5 crore (ex-showroom), India.
