Audi SQ2, the range topping performance trim of the Q2 crossover has been revealed ahead of its global debut at the 2018 Paris Auto Show. The sports crossover, SQ2, will be powered by a 2.0-litre turbocharged 4-cylinder petrol engine which is mated to a 7-Speed DCT S Tronic transmission that churns out 296 HP and 400 Nm of torque. Apart from the above, don’t forget that it's an Audi, so it comes equipped with the Quattro AWD system. The 0-100 km/hr sprint takes 4.8 seconds and the top speed of the car is electronically limited to 255 km/hr.
There are many new things on the outside, the SQ2 will get a redesigned front grille with S badging, new bumper with larger air intakes, LED headlamps and the SQ2 will sit on 18 or 19-inch wheels. The quad exhaust pipes and LED taillights complete the rear of the car.
The seats of the Audi SQ2 are wrapped with a combination of leather and fabric. Alcantara and Nappa leather option is also available. The control pedals are made of stainless steel and the steering wheel is flat bottom with paddle shifters. The car will come with adaptive cruise control, traffic jam assist, active lane assist and many other features.
The manufacturer will start the bookings for the SQ2 before the end of this year and deliveries will commence at the beginning of 2019 in the international market. However, the arrival of this car to India is not yet confirmed.
