The new X6 is officially listed on the website of BMW India, and also listed trim options.

The third generation X6 will be one of BMW India's first new car releases this year. BMW has started accepting SUV-coupe bookings until rates are revealed in the coming weeks. Expect prices to be in the Rs. 1 crore (ex-showroom) area for the competing Audi Q8 and Porsche Cayenne Coupe.

BMW has also updated its India new site with current-gen X6 data, revealing it will be available in two trims-xLine and M Sport. The former arrives with black cladding at the front and rear fenders and features more chrome components while the latter, along with various alloy wheel patterns, has matte back parts replacing polished ones.

The updated X6's interiors should feel familiar to those who seen the X5–the overall style is quite close and there is a lot of crossover in terms of the equipment on sale, such as the instruments ' high-definition digital displays and the infotainment system. As is common for products in this price range, there are practically hundreds of customization options open, with dealer reports saying that items can be spectacled up to Rs 8 lakh.

Whereas all engine options are still to be confirmed — both petrol and diesel versions are expected— the X6 will come in M40i-spec, indicating it will be powered by a 3.0-liter six-cylinder turbo-petrol engine that produces 340hp and 450Nm torque. The international version also has an optional 530hp, 4.4-liter V8 petrol (M50i); a 400hp, 3.0-liter 6-cylinder diesel (M50d); and a 265hp, 3.0-liter diesel (xDrive30d). All engines come equipped with an automatic8-speed sending power to all-four wheels.

BMW India was on sale for a while with the previous-gen X6, although the product had been discontinued just a few months earlier. It was on offer in the shape of xDrive35i M Sport, and cost at Rs 92.20 lakh.
