The new-gen Honda Amaze has crossed sales milestone of 2 Lakh units in India. The second-generation of the sedan was launched in May 2018 in the Indian market. The cumulative sales of the Amaze sedan has touched 4.60 Lakh units ever since it debuted in April 2013 in the country. It is available with both petrol and diesel engines in a price range of Rs 6.32-11.15 Lakhs (Ex. Showroom, Delhi). The new-gen Honda Amaze in offered in three trims namely E, S and VX with manual as well as automatic gearbox option.


Honda Amaze is developed at the brand's Tapukara facility in Rajasthan with localization level of upto 95 percent. The company revealed that more than 68 percent of the Amaze sales have come from Tier 2 and 3 markets. In addition, the CVT automatic variants, which can be availed with both petrol and diesel engines, have accounted for over 20 percent sales of the overall sales. The Amaze has made a special place among the first time buyers as 40 percent such people have opted for it, stated Honda in an official statement. It is powered by a 1.2L i-VTEC petrol engine and 1.5L i-DTEC diesel engine with manual and CVT versions for both fuel options. Honda Amaze rivals Hyundai Aura, Tata Tigor and Maruti DZire.
