Kia has not launched the all-new Carnival MPV in any country across the globe as of now.

The new-gen Kia Carnival had its world premiere just a couple of days back via the digital route. Now, the MPV has been spotted on the South Korean roads for the first time ever. The company has not launched the all-new Carnival MPV in any country across the globe as of now. Hence, it was surprising to spot one mule undisguised on the roads. Kia Carnival has been on sale in India from February 2020 and the new-gen model would only be launched in the Indian market by mid 2022. It has no direct competitors in India.

The 2021 Kia Carnival is bigger in size than the current iteration of the MPV but the company hasn't disclosed the exact dimensions yet. The styling also takes a radical departure from the ongoing model with sleeker and sharper elements such as headlamps and LED DRLs. The Kia signature 'Tiger Nose' front grille is retained while the bumper and faux scuff plates have been revised. The C-pillar has been given chrome treatment while the A,B and D pillars have been blacked out. The rear end of the MPV boasts of a thinner LED bar as compared to previous model's fat round tail lamps. Kia Motors has not released the details and images of the interior but we expect the MPV to be full of premium bells and whistles.

The fourth-gen Kia Carnival has been offered in several seating layouts, which includes a 11-seater version for fleet owners and an ultra-luxury 4-seater version for buyers vouching for opulence. The MPV has been introduced in both petrol and diesel fuel trims as the present model. The petrol variants draw power from a 3.3L V6 GDi engine while the diesel variants retain the same 2.2L turbocharged engine. The India-spec Kia Carnival is only available with the 2.2L diesel engine which generates a top power of 197bhp and peak torque of 440Nm. The engine is linked to an 8-speed automatic transmission as standard while no manual gearbox is on offer at the moment. The new-gen model is also likely to get the same transmission.
