New Maruti Dzire Sales Cross 1 Lakh Units

Maruti has announced that sales for the new Dzire have crossed 1 lakh units.

Maruti Suzuki has sold 1 lakh units of the Dzire since its launch in May 2017. The Petrol engine-Dzire now sees 12 week waiting period while diesel sees 8-10 weeks. The compact-sedan has been selling in record numbers since its launch and has resulted in a huge back log.

The Maruti Dzire is available in eight total variants - LXi, LDi, VXi, VDi, ZXi, ZDi, ZXi+ and ZDi+. The base versions which are the LXi and LDi cannot be optioned with the AMT gearbox. The top-spec ZX+ and middle V models get the highest demand. Maruti sells a larger amount of manual cars but the demand for AMT models is high as well.

The Dzire is available with two engine options – a 1.2-litre petrol and a 1.3-litre diesel that is sourced from Fiat. Both engines can be optioned with AMT gearboxes. The high-spec model comes equipped with LED headlamps, a reversing camera and a touchscreen infotainment system. The most popular colours for the new Dzire are – white, grey and blue.
