The new version is roomier, but the boot will be smaller.

One of the most popular cars on the road, the Dzire Tour will soon make way for an updated version of the second-generation Dzire. The Dzire Tour was based on the first-generation Dzire and was released as a transport vehicle (taxi and corporate uses). The new version is roomier, albeit with a reduced boot size.

The first-generation car came with a boot that could hold almost 440 litres, while the new version can only hold 316 litres. The shorter length of the new Tour might also lead to slashed prices, though nothing has been announced as yet. Just like the older version, the new Dzire Tour will only be available for the taxi market. The engine power is tweaked as well; there's a 1.2-litre petrol engine which can be had with the option of a factory-fitted CNG kit. With the new model, Maruti Suzuki aims to maintain its sales momentum in the market and make up for launch delays and other hurdles the company has been facing recently.
