New pictures of Toyota Glanza surface online.

Toyota is all set to launch the badge-engineered version of the Maruti Suzuki Baleno in the Indian market the upcoming car will be branded as Glanza by the company. The launch date for the car has been announced and it will be launched on 6 June 2019. However, before the launch some pictures of already much leaked Toyota Glanza have started doing rounds on the internet. These pictures reveal everything about the upcoming Glanza and like we have already informed you, the upcoming Glanza is almost a replica of the best-selling Maruti Baleno. Let’s take a look at the pictures and see what all does the upcoming Glanza has to offer to the customers.

As already stated it is hard to spot differences between the Glanza and Baleno if one covers the badges of the car. Apart from the new grille at the front end of the car, there is not a lot that has changed in the Glanza and this may cause a division of opinions among the customers who expected the badge-engineered version of Baleno to come with at least some tweaks when it took on the Toyota badge.

The Japanese automaker will sell the car in two variants that will be very similar to the top two variants of the Maruti Baleno. The variants by Toyota will be badged as J and V variants. The J variant will be lower priced one and the V model will command a higher price tag. The J variant will likely be an altered version of Zeta variant of the Baleno line-up and the V will be an altered version of Alpha trim. Although Toyota has promised that the Glanza will offer a more premium experience as compared to Baleno.

The company will offer a warranty of 3 years/1 lakh kms on the latest Toyota Glanza. The extended warranty program will take the period up to 5 years. Toyota also offers a 7-year Toyota Timeless warranty on their cars in India, however it is not confirmed whether Glanza will also come with the same. However, the Toyota Glanza will also be priced higher than the Maruti Baleno in the Indian market.

The interiors too will not be that different with identical set of features on offer. There are hopes that the Japanese maker has tweaked the infotainment system on the car, but nothing is confirmed as of now.

Maruti manufactures both Baleno and Glanza at its facility in Gujrat. This is perhaps the reason why there is so minimal change between the two cars in the market.

The automaker will take the petrol route with the upcoming Glanza and has no plans to introduce a diesel variant even in the upcoming future. The engine that will likely be offered with the upcoming Glanza will be a 1.2L 4 cylinder engine unit. Paired to the engine will be two transmission options, a 5 speed manual and a CVT automatic. The engine is rated to deliver a power figure of 82 Bhp.
