Hyundai Releases New TVC for Grand i10 NIOS

South Korean maker Hyundai has launched the updated model of the Grand i10 hatchback by the name of Grand i10 NIOS in the Indian market and the company has made it clear that the target customer group for the new car is the 'millennial' customer base. Armed with bold and futuristic looks the hatchback will take on other established rivals in the segment like the Maruti Suzuki Swift and Ford Figo. Targeting its millennial consumer base, the brand has also released a new TVC for the hatchback that focuses on the segment-first features that the latest hatch from the company comes with.

The new Grand i10 NIOS comes with a very bold and attractive design which includes arrow shaped DRLs integrated in the front grille. Talking of the front grille itself, it is a cascade style grille of the company that reminds one of the Venue SUV. The headlamps have been updated to be projector units and the same treatment has been given to the fog lamps, which is a segment first. The 15-inch diamond cut alloy wheels add a distinct look to the hatch and give it a sharp touch, so does the front grille sans chrome elements. The blacked out C-Pillar combined with the shark fin antenna and roof rails lend the hatchback a sporty look. The rear of the hatch now has NIOS lettering in the same style as seen on Venue SUV. Talking of the sides, the glass area of the hatch has now increased that will give the interiors a roomier feel. Talking of dimensions, the new version of i10 has grown 40mm in length, and 20mm in width, and the wheelbase has increased by 25mm.

The latest Grand i10 NIOS will be sold by the company in a total of 10 variants wherein there are 3 diesel variants and 7 petrol powered variants. The latest hatch from the company will also be available in a total of 6 shades which includes 2 dual tone variants as well.

Coming to the features of the hatchback, Hyundai like every other time has left no stone unturned here as well. Some of these include, a new steering unit, rear AC vents and power port, auto climate control, rear-view camera, keyless entry, push button start, electrically adjustable and folding wing mirrors, and a segment first 8-inch floating infotainment system with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay connectivity. Other segment-first features include wireless charging, voice recognition function along with i-Blue smartphone app, and Arkamys premium sound system with 4 modes. Yet another segment-first feature is the 5.3-inch MID with a digital speedometer that provides information on instantaneous fuel consumption, trip meter, distance to empty, average fuel consumption, service reminder, and average vehicle speed.

The Grand i10 NIOS comes with a 1.2L petrol engine rated to deliver 81 Bhp and 114 Nm and this engine is BS-VI ready. On the other hand, the diesel engine is a 1.2L unit rated to deliver 74 Bhp and 190 Nm. Both the engine options come with the choice of either a 5 speed manual or a 5 speed AMT unit (as stated variant wise). Moreover, the diesel engine is a BS-VI compliant unit.
